The California Department of Education (CDE), in collaboration with the WestEd Center for Child and Family Studies and UC Berkeley–BEAR Center, created the Desired Results Developmental Profile–Preschool (DRDP-PS©) assessment instrument as a method for teachers to observe, document, and reflect on young children’s learning and developmental progress.
The DRDP-PS assessment provides a valid and reliable instrument to document children’s behaviors. The resulting developmental profiles allow teachers to document individual children’s learning and development over time and plan curriculum for individual children and small groups of children.
The five modules cover:
A certificate for 2 hours of professional development will be available after successful completion of each individual module.
Each module ends with a short quiz reflecting the main ideas of the module. A score of at least 80% is needed to move on to the next module. Review the materials and retake the quiz as often as you like.
